Part of a series of prints showing the buildings and structures of Northumberland. Lindisfarne, or Holy Island, is linked to the mainland by a causeway which is submerged during high tide. Hapless drivers who find themselves stranded can climb in to the refuge hut and await rescue – not recommended though!
This is an original lino print, using archival relief printing ink on Japanese Masa paper. It is secured in a white mount with backing board for extra strength, ready to pop straight in to a standard size frame.
